  1. Restoration spell change

Since there is such a close call on this, I think that a reset of the poll may be in order. Everyone now has 7 pages of comments to review and a new poll with the same voters may show different results based on this 'new' information.
  2. Summoning stones revisited :D

Absolutely true, there is great exp from individual stones. And if prices are not adjusted from NPC I'll keep doing business as usual and I'm ok with that. Sinice summoning is the only skill I currently do besides A/D I follow the changing dynamics of the skill closely. I made the post, hoping that feedback would incite some positive conversation to help the game. Since the skill migrated from basically a PK skill (a skill that you had to work at to have an advantage in PK) to a type of manufacturing skill (where the stones are sellable and now anyone can do it) It would be nice if something high level could be summonable by top summonors. And I would have to say this for any skill. Every skill should/could have something special reserved for only the top players in that skill. What I imagine is a high level creature i.e Dragon, or what ever creature may someday be created, as a monster that is only summonable in the traditional method. This will bring something to the game for only summonors who may or may not be the best fighters in the game. In a pk event, I would expect summonors to be possibly protected by others in the PK party and actually encourage more of a group pk activity. This is not much different then placing hydro in a pk area. It was, iirc, designed to encourage more coorporation amongst players to obtain the hydro. And, this has been accomplished to some extent. Since I don't do the other skills, It is hard for me to compare. But I do know that the changing dynamics of the game affect all the skills, not just summoning, so you may have a very valid point. I was addressing the competition of pricing from the NPC not from other players. I'm sure that there could be summonors that may sell for half the cost of the ingredients, but then summonors would be in competition with other summonors. NPC's are a different story. If there are strong feelings concerning other skills then I might suggest a forum topic to address it.
  3. Yeti Summoning book

The yeti summoning book is listed twice at the NPC, once under summoning2 and again under summoning stones. A few people thought they were buying the yeti summoning stone book and actually got the yeti summoning book by mistake.

  6. Bots channel

As a bot owner and someone that buys a lot from bots, I dont know if a bot channel is the best sollution. Yes, there is a lot of bot traffic on ch 3, but maybe just changing the advertising interval to 30 min will get rid of the spam. If we did not have the channel limitation, it may not be an issue. I will change my bots to 30 minutes today as a gesture of reducing spam. Everything that bots sell are made by a player, when we start focusing on the absolute lowest price to obtain items we may force the market way too low. Bots=convenience for players and also are a 'safe' trade, free from scamming. As a bot owner I try to ballance out the buy and sell price to give players a place to sell their product at a fair price, then mark it up just enough to make a profit, but still stay within the market price. If I have to drop the sell price to stay competive, that also means a lower buy price :/ As a bot customer, when im looking for a quantiy of items ie, Air Essence, I will travel all over and may buy out several bots to get what im looking for. If that means going between c1 and c2, so be it. Price is usually less of an influence then availability. If we are going to have a central clearing house for bot info, I would be more interested in a list of bots that have certain items in inventory, then price. I dont think that all the information i.e. price should be layed out on a 'golden platter' just to drive the market lower. There are a lot of hard to find items ie feran horns, ede, etc. and it would be nice to at least find out which bots have inventory of these hard to find items, instead of having to pm every bot in game. Now to think of it, I advertise buying and selling on ch3 less because of bots. I only go to ch 3 if I cant find a good buy/sell to a bot. As a side note, what about merchant NPC's. If there is a clearing house of sorts, dont forget to include them.
  7. So are we (the summoners) happy now?

Ok, this is my first experience with a summons that was not an animal. thought it was a problem
  8. So are we (the summoners) happy now?

Guild member used a yeti stone. They eventually beamed from the map and the yeti stayed in one spot and never moved. This is not how summons used to behave when the summoner left the map. They used to wander around free from any tie to the summoner. Edit..If something came in visual range, it would attack. Then it would stop and stand still again.
  9. So are we (the summoners) happy now?

Sorry I missed the post about the NPC that buys stones..I found it. Thats what I get for reading forums at 1AM, I missed the whole page. I love the new stones. They are a great way to level a once difficult skill, but what I see is that summoning, which "I" once considered a fighting skill, is now a manufacturing skill. I'm ok with that if that is the direction the game wants to take, but, what is the advantage now to leveling summoning over just buying stones, besides a monitary gain. Why spend pick points in animal nexus, when now I can carry a bunch of stones that I purchased from a "summoning manufacturer". In the roll of a 'traditional' summoner I had to wear a crown of mana and a blue cloak to be able to summon any large quanity of anything. This is not to mention zero failure in using a stone. I guess I would like to see some advantage in traditional summoning over the stones. Here are some random thoughts: 1. Higher emu on stones and non stackable. I sold 200 bear stones to the NPC in one trip...gosh..what if i had summoned all of them in one stitting. Imagine the lag. lol 2. Make higher level monsters not usable except by summoners or maybe higher level players. I know that this is already mentioned. But remember, in "my" mind summoning was a fighting skill originally not a manufactuing skill. Crafting was never a fighting skill. I think that at the top of any skill, there should be something held in reserve for those that make it. 3. Longer life span on traditional summoned monsters, better capabilities, possibly drops etc. 4. Decrease the exp on making stones. I cant even believe im saying that, I love the new exp points, but I still think there should be an advantage to traditional summoning. Why summon a bear the old fashoned way when I can make a stone and get over 3 times the exp points. Gosh, and I can sell it to not only recoup the loss but to make a profit. 5. Possibly require mana to actually make the stones. Not just SR's as an ingredient. 6. Decrease the amount of monsters that can be summoned from stones at one time. This could be accomplished by putting a mana requirement on using stones or a cool down on their use. I love the new stones, I think they are a great idea and a much needed change to a difficult to level skill. However, if they are left as is, I don't see much reason to level summoning in the 'traditional' manner anymore. I can make massive monitary and experience gains just from making and selling stones. These are my own thoughts and may or may not represent the feelings of other summoners. I really just don't know, aside from what I read in the forums, but I felt that I needed to put in my "2-cents" worth .
  10. So are we (the summoners) happy now?

After spending a couple of days to make stones, I see the bottom has dropped out of the market..No biggie, summonors are used to not making money on summoning so it may be hard for this group to keep the price up. But, it would have been nice to be able to sell stones to an NPC ( I did not find one) This is what crafters/manufacturers/potioners etc. do when the market gets saturated with the product that they make. This may help keep a minimum value in the lower end stones. As it was, I was offered 5-10gc/ bear stone. They still sit in my storage; ill play with them myself at that price. Another idea, would be to have 'luck" stones. It helps take the sting off of making fe, when you get an efe. I dont know what a 'luck' stone would be at this point, but its just a suggestion.

  13. I am suggesting a sparing arena where it is a no drop zone. This would allow players to spar and build their A/D without fear of being jumped by higher level players in a PK area. Another, and better option would be to incorporate a window similiar to a trade window that states, "playername" would like to fight you. yes/no. This would accomplish a similar goal and limit the fights to only those that are invited.
  14. Eogil is a trade scammer

During a trade for a high value item item, 13300 + gc (dont remember exact amount) were placed in the first window, then other trade items were placed in other windows. Once an item was placed in the second window the appeared value of the gc changed to 1330 because the last 0 was covered over by the second item. This gave Eogil the opportunity to decrease the value of gc in the first window to an actual 1300 gc with no apparent change in the display. This system limitation has since been tested within my guild. I received the other items, but lost the value of approx 11970 gc. A good solution when faced with a trade like this is to demand the gc to be placed in the last window. Eogil also logged off and right back on as the accept buttons were pushed, making it look like a problem with the system and not a scam.
