    Hmm another hint: The guy in the pictures name is "Biggie Smalls" - he also had other names, now use this hint with the first hint ^^

    Actually, the guy in the picture is Jamal "Gravy" Woolard. He plays Biggie in the film. "Gravy" is where I got "sauce" in Cissysauce.

    Technically this shouldn't result in any additional bandwidth, because the guilds using strictly #GM for chatting are still using the same bandwidth regardless of whether they use #GM and 3 other channels, or @@guild plus 3 other channels. That said, the benefits of excluding guild channel from your channel count are many.

    • #GM can be reserved for special announcements in guild and/or leaders
    • #GM would no longer make it hard to see moderator announcements (server restarts, contests, etc)
    • Moderators could still moderate 3 channels and use guild channel
    • No rank is required for @@guild channel (if no leaders are on to promote a guildie to allow #GM)
    • users could close @@guild chat if they wanted solitude
    • #ci displays how many guildies are online (as long as they have guild channel open)

    This has been an ongoing issue for many of us in EL I'm sure, torn between having the ability to monitor channels, like market, invasion, general chat, helping newbies, etc. With the limitation of having @@guild count against the number of channels we are much more limited if we want to use guild chat the way it was intended to be used in the first place. Please consider making @@guild channel usable again please!

    My sincere heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated in this year's raffle, whether you donated prizes, bought tickets, and/or offered words of support throughout my times of being overwhelmed :P by all the work of putting this whole thing together (and a huge thanks to google spreadsheets :) ). It was a particularly emotional moment as everyone gave me a standing ovation at the end of the drawing, and shouted out "To Tori!!!" It was mentioned in my guild channel how many eyes were having a hard time staying dry :P

     

    I have updated the first post with the names of the winners of each prize, please make sure to congratulate the winners if you see them.

     

    I will be continuing to contact all the winners with unclaimed prizes and prizes requiring a storage trade until everyone has received their prize. Also, I still have a lot of misc odds and ends that I will continue to pick names and hand out as time allows. Please be patient, I have a lot of people to find.

     

    In total I raised over $5,000 dollars for the walk, $3,810 came from this raffle. The walk itself raised over $45,000 dollars, and had a record turnout!

    My sincere thanks to all donators for yet a third set of Great Swords for the raffle, putting the total prize pool over the 5 million gc mark. We are now 5 times as many prizes as last year, and still growing.

     

    Starting this week we hope to have some random contests to give away some of the smaller items from the grab bag, as well as some other items. Watch for the blue spam, and be prepared to Fight Diabetes!

    I just have to say thank you to all the donors of prizes so far, not only have we exceeded the 2 million gold coin prize pool goal, but we still have almost an entire month to go. I am completely overwhelmed by the generosity and compassion of the community at large, you people are fantastic! :P

     

    Also, we're planning some additional events the week before the raffle, so keep your eyes peeled :)

    I'll log in in one of the coming days and see who can do a gc->$$ transfer for me to get 1-x tickets for me, depending on what I can currently afford in EL. >.<

     

    Also, I think you forgot a prize, altho I already gave it to you months early, I gave you a rosto for this. Either I'm really too sleepy or it's actually missing from your list. :-p

    The cause: American Diabetes Association's "Step out to fight Diabetes"

    23.6 million (24% are undiagnosed) children and adults in just the U.S. suffer from diabetes, America's fastest growing disease. Diabetes can, and does, lead to a wide range of other serious health complications. By helping me participate in Step Out, you're not just helping to funds to eliminate one disease. You're also battling cardiovascular problems, kidney failure, blindness, lower limb amputations, and much more.

     

    My daughter Tori was diagnosed with Type I diabetes one month after her third birthday. I have participated in this walk ever since, and have been acting Volunteer Corporate Chairperson for the last few years.

     

    The Timeframe:

    Last day to purchase tickets for the lottery is Friday, October 3rd at 8 PM Central Timezone, USA.

    The drawing will take place inside the White stone City Palace which can be found at White Stone City [38,731]

    The drawing will be held on Friday, October 3rd at 9 PM Central Timezone, USA.

    A winners list will be posted in this thread. Prizes will be "hand delivered" in-game.

     

    The rules:

    Raffle tickets are $5 US each. If you want to participate, you need to

    1) send me a forum PM with your real name and dollar amount of donation, and

    2) make your donation at one of the following locations:

    The Drawing:

    Winners will be selected by lottery. For every $5 a person donates, they will get get one "ticket" for the drawing. The drawing will take place using the list randomizer at http://random.org/ with the list being one entry of a ticketholder's name per ticket they hold. As each drawing takes place, the winner will have one instance of their name removed from the list, and the list will be randomized again to select the next winner.

     

    Prizes will be awarded in the order they are picked, prize 1 goes to the first draw, prize 2 to the second, etc...

     

    Notes:

    This event has been authorized by Entropy, and prizes have acquired or manufactured by myself over the course of my EL life, or donated by my friends in-game.

     

    Remember, this is a charity fundraising event that just happens to have prizes as an incentive. The money goes to American Diabetes Association. Donations are tax deductable in the US. If you do not like the terms, don't participate.
