There is a list of moderators here on the Developers page. You must scroll down the page to find the listing. It needs to be updated as some of the mods have had name changes. I don't know if there are others that are new that haven't been added to the list or not. http://www.eternal-lands.com/page/developers.php There is a list of game rules and explanations here: http://www.eternal-lands.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=14582 This would be the particular rule that was possibly broken: 7. No Impersonations. Do not impersonate any Eternal Lands owners, developers, moderators, players, bots, npc's, or guild. This includes creating similar variances upon names in order to deceive, misrepresent or post false information to others. Also do not pretend to be a bot. I am not 100% sure, but I think impersonating a moderator is a bannable offense and you may want to post your chatlog in the Abuse forum if they specifically said they were a mod. If I'm wrong on that then please someone correct me. Hope that info helps.
  2. Did you know?

I once roamed these lands a phoenix, until I was consumed in flames. From those flames I burst forth and was reborn a GWaRior. In my heart a phoenix still slumbers, but GWaR is my new home. GGGGWWWWWaaaRRRRR!!!!! GWaR will still be around.
  3. Magic Sword Books

I bought alot of the enchanted sword books I have read as soon as they became available so I spent way more than what alot of others have spent. Now I see two sets of prices that people attempt to sell for. The prices you listed above are the low scale and in my opionion about where they should be. Anymore I won't pay 35k+ to get one of the enchanted sword books (ie. S2E of Thermal) but there are still those that try (not sure if they do sell) to sell them at that price. Book of Thermal Swords is still more expensive than Fire/Ice/Magic books. Jezebelle is correct in that other factors should be taken into consideration on the pricing of these books, but she left out the most important one in my opinion, the modable. It is the most expensive ingredient in the formula. I have seen a modable S2E sell for 60k, add that to the price of the rest of the ingreds. Then add the associated book(s) for the sword you are trying to make and you wouldn't make a profit buying S2E of Thermal book for 30k. So my answer is: your prices are where some sell at and where they should be in my opinion. However, there is still a whole other pricing tier that is almost double the prices you listed.
  4. Selling S2E of Thermal

  6. Disposable armor

and since they haven't discovered flower power yet, how are they gonna buy enough disposable armour? How? Well, considering it won't take much more than leather armor ingreds-wise I don't see why they can't sell some raw meat from all the bunnies and beavers they kill to have enough for this armor. I found market channel way before I found out about the ebul lupine/lilac bushes and was selling raw meat to players rather than the tavern within a week of when I started playing. Raw meat sold to players = disposable (or whatever you wanna call it) leather armor. Ebul lupine/lilac bush(for hours/days or w/e) to flower shop = iron plate.
  7. Did you have fun on no drop day?

I logged in about 2 hours before this day ended so I didn't have much time to play around. Even so, I had loads of fun. So much fun in fact that I only took one screenie of the death message from my first ever pk kill I am not a pker so days like today(yesturday?) are pretty much the only time you will see me running around kf or such places. I only got killed a few times and no hard feelings to anyone who killed me, but I still think you should have let me kill Zobi first before slamming me to the underworld OldSchool So here is my screenie oh, and Volken if you jump my friends while we pvp again you will be making another trip to the warm underworld This was the funniest part of the day for me. I didn't take a screenie of it so I'll put up the stripped down chatlog. evilgeorge: celtic evilgeorge: can i try you? CelticLady: sure Ermabwed: go ahead george You recovered 43 material points Your enemy used the ring of disengagement, so he fled, and you can't move for ~5 seconds. Phoenix: cl got her sexy ass kicked Spell failed! Spell failed! evilgeorge: =) Spell failed! You recovered 48 material points CelticLady: next? CelticLady: c'mon....i wanna goto hell...someone kill me Ermabwed: lol Phoenix: kill yourself CelticLady: tk come kill meh TrashKing: may i GWaR CelticLady: come kill meh!!!! Ermabwed: lol i would cl CelticLady: wth!!! someone kill me!!! Spell failed! You have to wait at least 2 seconds between spells in combat! CelticLady rests in pieces. You have died and gone to the Underworld! Spell failed! #GM from CelticLady: yay! How many times do you have to beg people to kill you while standing in an arena??? Thanks evilgeorge for sending me to the underworld
  8. Disposable armor

If I understand this correctly then I can see the possibility of there being some demand for this type of armor. First off, very beginning players that haven't found the wonders of flower picking yet would be able to purchase and utilize this armor for a fraction of the cost of titanium chain but with the same benefits. With the higher breakage rate they would have to purchase them more often. Second, as Ghengas stated, some pk'ers do wear leather armor so they may opt for this armor as it would offer more protection at a lower cost. Of course it doesn't make sense But then again, the real life is no different. For example, does it make sense to throw away mass quantities of food, in order to keep the price up? I mean, FFS, just give it to the poor, don't throw it away. Off-topic: There are some programs (rather few, but some) that actually do what you say - give the food to the poor. Mind you, a lot still does get thrown away to keep the price up - better than Microsoft/Exxon-Mobil styled farming, tho. On-topic: So, you use more material (more cost), to make a more fragile armor (more needed), and this is supposed to be profitable to either side... how? As a manuer, I don't see how an armor that is more expensive to make will be more readily sold... As a fighter (nonPK), I can't comment on PK battles - but against monsters, how is a more expensive armor that breaks more often gonna be profitable to me? Personally, I would support it if you could make an armor with less ingreds, get a slightly worse armor, with a few plusses, that was more fragile, and/or an armor with slightly more ingreds, with a better defensive capability and sturdier. More material + more fragile armor = not very profitable for anyone, as I see it. From my perspective I can see where this could be profitable if it only adds an iron bar and maybe another leather/thread, but it would depend on what the final breakage rate was determined to be. If it breaks too often then people will probably just skip it and either use leather or steel chain. On the other hand, if it doesn't break often enough then it could seriously cut into the steel/titanium chain market. I make decent profit on both steel and titanium chain. It wouldn't help me out one bit if my sales shifted more towards an armor that I would have to sell in a much larger quantity to make the same profit. Especially if said armor is easily made by lower level manufacturers. That would add something else for them to make a profit off of and help level, but if it pulls away from higher level armor sales then it stabs them in the foot later on.
  9. Selling Steel Long Sword of Magic

Well, since Artif perk now loves me I have another Steel Long of Magic for sale. Post your offers here. I won't even consider anything under 55k, so don't bother posting anything less than that. I will accept gc, fe, steel bars or any of the following books in trade. ~ SOLD
  10. Suspected bagjumper

As bus stated, ATI/Phoenix has changed his name to MiQuene (unless he changed it again since yesturday ). One of our other members EternalDragon (formerly Blaki) has now changed his name to Phoenix. I wanted to make it clear that the new Phoenix is not the same one that bagjumped Sin.
  11. GWaR

Thanks for your interest Gryflet, but the answer is No. Ghengas is correct that seeing as you were kicked from ~LE~, http://www.eternal-lands.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=25656 and other factors we can not accept you into GWaR. And to anyone else interested in joining GWaR we are still recruiting. High a/d is desireable, but not a requirement. We have several top skill members and welcome those of any chosen profession. We do prefer age to be 18+. Please check our forum and post in the recruitment section if you would like to be interviewed.
  12. Buddy List

This can happen if someone is fighting and they grue, while they're fighting they remain in the game (no logout message) but you can't PM them. That's pretty much what was happening. I was pvp'ing and would get disconnected from the server and have to reboot my system to be able to log back on. Happened 3 times before I got tired of it and decided to give up for the night. That is probably why I was showing up 3 times on my pvp partners list. It's been fine since that day so I don't really know why it was happening.
  13. I'm playing a...

Technically I guess I am a manufacturer, but I do both weapons and armor about equally. I do all skills so I can fill in if needed though.
  14. Buddy List

Actually I was (may still be) haveing some problems with either my internet connection or the client yesturday and that may have contributed to the problem. One friend told me I was showing up on his buddy list 3 times at once. I don't know if I'm still having issues or not, or exactly what it is from.
  15. Cheaters

Being from Australia, and only having lived in CA and CO, I have never heard "git" used as that. It is used here (I believe brought over from the UK) as a slightly friendlier slang term for idiot (as otherwise pointed out in this thread). I think the southern US is the only place that uses the term in your way, and not representative of the general EL population. Therefore I would suggest its best to try not to use that particular expression. I live in Washington State (not Washington D.C.) and we use "git" (for get/get away) and "y'all" here too...
  16. Preliminary info about the new swords

OMG!! I don't see how it could get much better than this! This game never ceases to amaze me.
  17. Preliminary info about the new swords

Both, I guess. And no, I didn't decide on the cost/formulas yet. *rubs her little manufacturing hands together and giggles*
  18. A/D requrements for battle gear

On occasion I like to put on my best kit and chop the heck out of the toughest monster I can. Plain and simple that is my biggest motivation for wanting to wear/use the best available right now. I also will wear it for pics and such. Not the best reasons, but I'm being honest about it. Now as for in the future...I have been starting to train more and may eventually want to use it for such purposes or others. Agreed but that's another topic And it isn't like it's an all or nothing deal...you don't get stuck with leather until you are 100 a/d. There are many items along the way to the top best fanciest shiniest items. The point is there should be goals to work for, in all skills. Without goals, people lose interest. All things should NOT be available for all players, regardless of level. I just don't think that's right. I agree with you on this Aislinn. Like I said earlier, I think we should have to "earn" the right to wear/use them. Just as long as it isn't astronomical jumps in level requirements.
  19. A/D requrements for battle gear

I understand that Torg's option is alot of work, I just like that idea the best. Then you "could" wear the armor, but at a cost. People wouldn't wear it as much because it caused a negative effect, but I could still sell it to them. Narrowing down the customer base too much is not going to help out on sales or on keeping the prices up on new weapons/armor. Fewer people to buy means fewer people dictating what they will spend for something. I obviously am not a fighter either, and when I do train I centainly don't wear plate. However, I would like to be able to wear nicer armor if some sort of lvl restrictions were put into place. On that note, I wouldn't like to see astronomical stats required to wear them. Yes, I think you should have to "earn" the right to wear/use armor and weapons properly. If you make it too far out of reach then anyone other than a pure fighter won't ever be able to wear/use them. One of the appealing parts of this game is that I don't have to specialize. I have chosen to, but I am fairly well rounded and do "all" skills atleast somewhat. If I wanted to wear/use new armor and weapons I would have to switch my specialty to fighting and potentially not have the required manu lvl to make all the new items. Yes, it is a trade off, but kinda defeats the purpose in a way of having a game where you don't have to choose a specialty. That's just my opinion, and of course has selfish ideas behind it. I'm not saying that I shouldn't have to work to wear/use items, but I don't think I should have to go all out fighter to be able to either.
  20. A/D requrements for battle gear

This was one of the things, I've come up with this thread. As said many times before, with level (whether A/D or P/C or combination of both) requirements, inferior weapons and armor would gain new purpose and the demand for them would be higher, thus helping the market a bit. Exactly as Terena stated: ages at flower bush and then the iron plate isn't good way for us, the blacksmiths, to perform our art of making items. Before I was able to make greaves/cuisses/steel chainmails, my skills were useless for the guild I'm glad to see that this debate is still live and become hot topic And as I've seen in posts here: P/C would be more logical step, but P/C is easy to gain with negative perks, so I suggest A requirements for weapons and D requirement for armor with sligth addition of P/C levels to stick to logic sense. Alas, I'm afraid that this debate remains only in this forum and won't be implemented, hope that I'm wrong with this... In general I like the idea Torg mentioned having a detrimental effect if you aren't at the level to use something effectively. I just have to disagree that anything below Iron plate is sort of useless. I sell far more steel chain then I have ever sold plate. For weapons, I do sell more serps than other weapons, but steel longs have been a decent seller on occassion (and not just to Trik). That was only part of Thordin's reason for suggesting to make the change, but is one I disagree with, at least on the plate vs lower armor stand point. I too am tired of every newb and their dog having plate and serp for wolves etc. so I would like to see something similar to Torg's idea if anything. Great job getting this topic started Thordin and for keeping an open mind on other peoples suggestions too
  21. Uhh...Aren't you "forcing the energies into the instrument of your desire" using binding stones? You are "binding" the EFE/EME etc. into the sword giving it the Enchanted property of that enriched ess. And secondly, I did spend the pick points needed by getting my Magic Nex to 5 in order to make these swords. Had I not already been into crafting and had my Magic Nex at 3 I would have had to add 5 pick points to be able to make these swords. Why should I also have to add them to Will? I see where you are coming from with your idea. I just don't agree with it is all. I won't even touch on the crafting part of this because I only craft for personal/guild/friends and still feel it is a pain to lvl, so anything that makes crafting harder is just not a good idea to me.
  22. The hydrogenium

*lol* yeah, I saw that...it posted in while I was editing mine

if you don't know where molgor is, you can't comment on any part =) i know its on C2 i just havent explored C2 very much im sure i will become more familiar with C2 once there r more reasons to go over there, but atm i dont have many reasons to be there err...are you serious? ok hows this, im pretty sure its on C2 and i havent found many reasons to be on C2 yet, im not that high of lvls and am pretty new to the game, i just havent FOUND the reasons to spend alot of time there, like i said i havent explored it very much Awesome! Ummm...I was asking if you were serious that you think Molgor is on C2 or did I misread something?

  25. The hydrogenium

I am wondering now... When the cause of s2e to be useless is because the fighting system is glitched so that there is no benefit to using them, why is a new demand being created? Perhaps if the cause of the problems were being considered then there would be no need to keep adding reasons to use items. That kind of strays off the topic..... And from what I have seen the fighting system isn't the whole problem on why alot of weapons aren't used. It is also the way the players look at it. Getting more xp not using a weapon. Which is actually debateable. I have a guild mate who never goes hunting without the best weapon he can possibly get me to make him. He goes and finds the toughest monster he can kill with it relatively safely and hacks away. I on the otherhand will use a weapon when I first start with a new monster. Beginning with ti short, then to steel long and finally down to a bone. I skip the other weapons, and end up using no weapon until the xp gets too low and then I move onto another monster. There are benefits to using weapons, atleast how I see it. The point isn't just to find another use for s2e. As you have mentioned, you aren't the most creative thinker. Let others run with their ideas so this game doesn't just end up being the same as all the others. Not everything has to be logical, not all new ideas have to have a story behind them before they are implemented, and not everyone is going to like all the new ideas. I'm not saying don't voice your opinion if you don't like the idea, just try to take other people's creativeness into consideration and try to help the issue instead of pick it apart. <---just my opinion and not just directed at Mr.Mind
