I didn't see anything of this sort previously suggested so I figured I'd give it a shot... I was thinking, the Crown of Life and Crown of Mana are awesome and everyone likes them. What if it is possible to have someone bind the Crown of Life to say an Iron, Steel, or Titanium helmet. My reason for this is simply that the helmets look much better than the Crown (IMHO) and add some defense. To make it possible it would need to be expensive and hard so: -1 Crown of Life -Ingredients for the helmet (e.g. Iron helm 5 iron bars, 3 leather, 4 fire essences) Ingredients should be increased though, for example: 10 iron bars, 6 leather, 8 fire essences, 4 enriched fire essences, 4 enriched life essences, 100 health essences -1 Binding stone -1 Crown of Mana -Ingredients for the helmet (e.g. Iron helm 5 iron bars, 3 leather, 4 fire essences) Ingredients should be increased though, for example: 10 iron bars, 6 leather, 8 fire essences, 4 enriched fire essences, 4 enriched magic essences, 5 extra mana potions -1 binding stone Requirements: -Manufacturing level 70 -Crafting level 50 -Artificial Nexus 7 -Magic Nexus 5 or 6 Just a thought i've had for a while, the benefit of the crowns with the look and defense of the helmets, also a lesser chance of breakage maybe. Let me know how you feel about it.

That one doesn't affect your game, I believe. There should also be one in your My Documents/Eternal Lands/main folder. That is the one that the game currently uses. The other one is probably leftover from the previous versions.

C:/Documents and Settings/YOURNAMEHERE/My Documents/Eternal Lands/main/el.ini Or simply double click on My Documents on your desktop and go to the Eternal Lands folder then the Main folder. Make sure EL is closed before editing the file. Open the el.ini file in a text editor, ie. notepad, textpad, etc. Then search for "#enable_sound=" and change the 8 to a 0. Then you have to save the the file obviously, then just reopen EL and the sound will be disabled.

Unfortunately, this did not solve my problem. Once again, I was walking around I.P. and it just crashed, the screen went gray and I had to hard reset. Any other suggestions?

I too am having a problem with the latest client on my new laptop. I have never run a prior version of EL on this computer though, so it may not be the new version. I found threads explaining ways to fix similar problems, but nothing has worked so far. I acquired this guild from someone else...When I did JandolAnganol was a member. He left shortly after and joined another guild. However, when I type #list_guild he is the top member and I cannot figure out how to remove his name. I would like to remove the name because it gives the false impression that our guild is one member bigger. If anyone has an idea of how I can rectify this situation I would be greatly appreciative. I normally wouldn't care about this but this time it was a personal attack. I used to be on good terms with Devilslayerr, we used to train, back before I reset. I was on my way to SKF when I see him and Atilla talking outside of Lucky Punch Arena about going to the Naralik training arena. Atilla had left and it was only Devilslayerr standing outside. I went into Lucky Punch Arena just to sit and see if anyone was fighting. I like to watch. Anyway Devilslayerr followed me in and asked if I wanted to fight him. I was wearing full plate with serpent sword, he had steel chain, leather pants/boots, mirror cloak and i'm guessing titanium long sword. I agreed and we started fighting. All of a sudden, in comes Atilla (who is double my stats) and stands next to us training. I was unsure of their relationship and Devilslayerr only had a few hit points left, so I fled so he could escape. As soon as I fled Atilla kills me in a few hits. I then return and start harvesting vegetables because I was low in health, Devilslayerr was still there and Atilla had left. I harvested and Mother Nature killed me (just to be cruel ). I dropped my steel shield which I had left after the Atilla attack and asked Devilslayerr to get it for me. He convieiently "teleported" to Raven as I died. When I returned it was gone. Anyway, I suspected them as being a team, so I went to Naralik to see if they were there to confirm that they were buddies, and sure enough, they see me and start laughing. Anyways, the point of this is not to complain about losing my plate, whatever it's 14k, I could care less, it's my own fault. The point of this post is not to trust Devilslayerr, even if you used to be friends. Devilslayerr is of MooN guild, Atilla is from =Tr=. EDIT: Devilslayerr is a man, my mistake. I am sorry for the confusion.

If you want to give more exp for person fighting person with rost, and none to the person holding it, thats fine...however, it can still be exploited. Just have a friend throw on a rost and train, then switch. Solution?: How about you just disable fleeing/diss rings during combat if you have a rost? This way every fight is a fight to the death, this would solve the experience exploit and relieve EL of a few more rosts...

I just tried signing onto EL and found that my IP was banned...I don't know what I did but if someone could let me know I would greatly appreciate it. Ofcourse I would like for this to get resolved because I really like the game and I am unaware of anything I might have done wrong and I am the only person in the house that plays. If thats the case bone_collecter would have had to log out and log in with all caps just for those 2 lines... If he just capitalised it it would be 'bONE_COLLECTOR and that would be an edit anyway That quote i took I did not edit... I dont see taunt lol as capitalised on my browser (notice i am being extremely pedantic). Edit: typo This happens if you get two messages in a row by the same person...I've noticed it many times. Have some cap every other letter in their name and pm you two times in a row and second time everything will be all lower case. I don't want to make the crowns manuable I wanted to make you buy the crown then risk it by putting it into a helmet, so you fail bye bye crown, if not you have a crown in a helmet. Either way it costs you much more than the crown itself.
