Im just after testing your suggestion labrat. I tried moving the slider from its original setting of balanced to performance and then to quality neither solved my problem. I then tried changing the setting altoghether to "let the 3D application decide" and that didnt solve it either. Edit: Im after taking a few screenshots on both vista and ubuntu using ctrl+p. I viewed the screenshots on both ubuntu and vista and they are identical looking, same size and quality as i took them using the same client settings. However the el client itself on vista is much larger than the screenies even though the client says it is "Window size adjusted to 780x550" and the resolution the the screenies are also 780x550. The client on ubuntu is exactly the same size as the screenies. [sOLVED] Solution: it turns out my DPI was set to 120 when I got the computer which made everything seem out of focus, turning the DPI down to 96 as should be the default sorted out my problem. To change your DPI in vista go to your control panel, choose personalization. Now type DPI into the search bar and you should get a result "Adjust font size (DPI)". Thanks to those who tried help solve my problem especially Phildaburn who thought of this solution.

Thanks for the quick response. I tried 1440x900 in windowed mode and it is much too large for the screen and when i alt+enter to get fullscreen it zooms in. All this does is cut off the hud and top channels bar again although it does take up the entire screen.

Its especially noticable when wearing something like a titanium chain mail. I never get very good fps and often struggle to get to my FPS limit of 45. When playing a youtube video on the desktop along with el my fps drop to around 8-10. I also play el on this pc under ubuntu 7.10 and it looks perfect. I get 200+ fps and have no trouble running multiple clients or videos at the same time before my fps takes a hit. Also on vista my resolutions seem to be all wrong, i play on 800x600 because 1024x768 wont fit on my screen. If i make an image 800x600 in paint and compare it to the el window, el is much larger. When i try to switch to fullscreen mode it switches fine but it looks like it just zoomed in, my hud is off the screen and i cant see the channels bar, the buttons or the right hand hud. I have tried updating my drivers using the xfx site, I searched for drivers using the code on my card and installed the vista 32 bit drivers successfully but this hasnt fixed my problem with el. I played half life 2 at 1440x900 and it looked perfect with high settings i never noticed any issues at all. Any ideas are welcome.

If you kick a guild member from the guild while they are offline if they were on the guild channel before logging off when they relog they will be kicked from the guild but will still be on the guild channel. Is it possible you kicked your guildie and he had grued without you noticing?

Vermor castle isnt actually on the white stone map itself. Its saved on a different map that happens in this case to be multi. Buildings and caves are saved on a different map not the map that you were on when you clicked to enter them. So you may have a cave on IP saved to the same map as a cave in PL or WS it varies a bit. Also the ency is updated out of the kindness of peoples hearts and done in their own time they dont get rewards for it, they try to keep it as accurate as possible there is always going to be a few things that can be better. Sorry you had to learn the hard way but we live and learn.

An 80 or 90's arena would be appreciated. I have stopped in to naralik arena a few times and its always empty, I asked guildies did any ever go there and they all said it was always empty so no point. So ye if it was changed a bit higher you would get more people there I know people who arent training much anymore just so they can stay TSing into DP arena. Another busy arena to work up to would be a nice incentive to train. Im not sure if there are plans for more arena's of different level caps but i think they are a great idea. Lots of people made alt chars just to enjoy pk in the 40's arena. Why not make more higher cap arena's for people to use their main chars in.

In the naralik catacombs arena when you enter you get the same message as in the desert pines arena Only those under level 40 attack and defense can PK here. No aggressive magic or summoning allowed. I have tested with a friend with a/d in the 50's and he can attack me in the arena so it should indeed be like entropy's post and say 60's a/d.

I had the same thing happen to me a day or two ago, it was before the server restart to add the lotto so it may be fixed but i thought id add a screenie. what happens if i agree with an ally guild that we both set our guilds to enemy so we can pvp safely in a non pk map? im assuming that by total war on any map you meant non pk maps too? If not disregard this love the idea though

I have used myspace a little but didnt like it it was not very user friendy and the people on it were not great, bebo is big in ireland now its like a toned down version of myspace with more security and its very simple to use. Although still the problem of annoying kiddies but you can filter who sees your profile so its ok.

I really likes LOTR and when i finished it i felt really empty I had nothing to do anymore and I couldnt find any books to compare to it, Harry potter is fine its a good read but once its over you forget about it. For now the Inheritance trilogy is my favourite I read both books and will like sistema read the final one the day it comes out. I like them because they are a mix of LOTR and another trilogy I liked called His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman.
