  1. Retro Eternal Lands IP Party and Contest!

It doesn't matter what any of you MODS have to say about this. Radu, you know YOUR BOSS,the OWNER OF THE SERVER, said it's not against the rules. So quit already!
  2. I love the suggestion that the game should remove no-drop for low level players if taking the perks. I'll just take the perks with a high level character and self-destruct bots to death naked instead. kk Doesn't solve anything. The only thing that will solve this dilemma is to make bots no-drop.

Nobody is being immature about this (except perhaps the mod that makes up her own rules so that she can push people around). We are simply pointing out that a power hungry mod, thought that she could come up with her own rules, simply for the enjoyment of bullying one of the players on the game. This very same mod has consistently abused her power by muting people in channel for no better reason than to bully players (oh I'm sorry, is pretending to wrong chat a gm to 6 just to goof around against a rule?). This very same mod complains time and again that she hates being a mod. And we all know that I'm not talking about Cree.
  4. Retro Eternal Lands IP Party and Contest!

Just a power-mongering mod that likes to push her weight around and bully people. Not like I haven't seen thousands of those over the years all over the internet. Give her the middle finger and keep doing what makes you happy.
  5. That's actually exactly what I said.
  6. Can someone explain the math or logic behind this statement, it makes no sense to me from a probability point of view. The client doesn't decide if you get a rare item or if you trigger an event. The server decides that. If it were up to the client, people would be hacking their clients and getting free EFEs. It's a single function in the server programming that is called whenever a user creates something. Your client tells the server "Ok I just made an FE!" The server says "hold on, I'll check to see if it was successful, and if so, did you make a rare!" Then the server replies "ok you successfully made an FE!" The more times that function is triggered the better your chances are that you'll get a return "ZOMG you got an EFE dude!" The server doesn't check to see "oh hey who are you? ok let me check your private probability rate". It's just a simple function. Astro changed that by adding a personal modifier, but skeptic removes astro so you are back to simply asking the server for a probability with 0 modifier.
  7. Yup I noticed the other day when I did 10k LEs during red astro I got 5 ELEs. Yesterday I tried doing ~3k LEs with Astro maxed in the green and didn't get squat. (using artificer) And it always seems best right around 0
  8. I have always noticed (even before astro) that there were "cycles" by which things occurred in the game. Harvesting at certain times of day or mixing would produce astro-like event clusters. ie, I could mix 15k FEs and not get a single EFE but at a specific time of day I would get an EFE every 4k FEs. I believe that the cause of this is due to how the server issues out it's odds.It sees that an FE is being created and the math is done to determine whether it's a success or failure due to the user's level (or any modifiers attached like potions). Beyond this it doesn't care "who" is making the FE, if a success is true, the server determines then if it's an FE or EFE. The more people that are on making FEs, the greater the chances of getting an EFE. Thus the "cycles" we notice as Skeptic or for those of us who were here before Astro, are nothing more than the nature of the game. ie How many other people are on doing the same thing. During a period of time when a lot of people are on making FEs, it may appear as though you have some type of positive astro because your chances of making a rare is greater when more FEs are being created in the game.
  9. Drop party NPC

There is a big difference between running the usual contest in this game and a DROP PARTY. You can't have a drop party on this game. Characters can't occupy the same space and compete for bags. Players can't drop and keep running. You have to stop, drop and move. This makes it impossible to hold a drop party because players will surround the dropper and make movement impossible. You can hold whatever contests you like to have. I would like to see some form of drop party implemented. ONE MORE TIME! If a player cheats, and uses alts for an advantage, they are breaking the GAME'S RULES. They will be caught eventually and banned because just like using an alt in any other part of the game, it's illegal. Should we do away with mixing because someone can use an alt to harvest ingredients faster? This "players can use alts to cheat' is a STUPID reason. I don't care if people have run out of stuff in their storage in the past, holding contests and events. That is what players choose to do. You don't empty your crap out, to hold contests, and then look in your storage and think "darn! I didn't mean to give away all my stuff!" I'm not sure if you've ever been outside of this game or not so let me make this simpler for those of you that are sheltered from the rest of the internet. People like drop parties. Every game on the internet has players that host drop parties. You want this game to be successful? You like money? How about giving people incentive to be here and have fun. There is, in fact, only 1 reason that I can think of; for why this wouldn't work. Player EMUs. Someone may get a bag that they can't pick up. I'm sure a workable solution could be found for this. This is my last reply to this topic. Obviously good sense is lost here.
  10. Drop party NPC

You think anyone is going to be able to chase SHY RATS with more than one character at a time? Do you know what a shy rat is? Noob much? Once again, this isn't a conversation about players breaking rules. So let's try to stay on topic here. If you have nothing relevant to post about the suggestion, then don't post.
  11. Drop party NPC

I suppose that would be a breach of the rules and would therefore be dealt with by the mods if the person is caught. What you are suggesting would take place in any aspect of the game then. I don't see how that is relevant to my suggestion.
  12. Drop party NPC

A drop party NPC in IP (somewhere noobs can safely join in and have fun). NPC would act as a type of storage bot. You would be able to access storage through the bot (but not remove items from storage to your personal inventory). You would select which items you wish to include in a drop which would move to a drop window. After selecting your drop items, the NPC would ask if you wish to make a public or private announcement (public would be a global message, private would be local), letting players know that within X amount of time, a drop party would begin. When the party begins, the NPC would automatically spawn 50-100 Shy Rats in IP, each one potentially carrying one of the items from the drop list.
