    I think there are quite many neg perks already, and new ones should be introduced carefully, preventing people from collecting enormous amount of pp. Even if this a really negative perk, for top PKers it might be doable, if you mostly train in remote PK maps etc. Although I like your idea a lot, I suggest 5-6 pp max. One question I wanted to ask, how will be underworld handled? Won't it be possible to blow someone in the underworld with rosto already used While this would be fun I suggest making underworlds (and maybe isla prima??) safe.

    Nice guide MP It's definitely not the only guide how to do this, anyone can develop one's own strategy. But MP raises some very valid points, that apply even if you train in CoL/better armour - for example that you train @ decent defense, like 95-100 for fluff etc. This really helps to save your armors. Also it is one of the few guides that are up-to-date, like deals with astro etc One of the parts I'm not sure about is training clopses (especially without CoL like in this guide). I've trained them w/o CoL and believe, it's pain. And when it becomes not pain, you can switch to fluff anyway Maybe you should rather PvP a few def levels instead and switch to fluffy rabbit when you are near 90 def. Also, what concerns http://el-wiki.dragoncairn.net/el/Combat/Guide: it's a crappy guide of serp-everything-that-is-too-strong-for-you style, no offense to its author. I think I've seen one guy inspired by this guide and boning trolls in full dragon set

    I was noob when Don was playing most actively, so apart selling him a few rostos I don't remember him very well. I remember he got branched and he left EL, I respect him for not selling (at that moment) very top char and just killing it. Other players that I would like to mention: Crus: - I could agree with that, he was not a very brave PKer. But I admired his cold logic, determination. He was one of the greatest players I think. Also, masterpiter. He is modest himself and didn't get mentioned much, but I respect him a lot. He is just a perfect example how to train efficiently Also I respect he doesn't take on poor PvPing noobs just for a few leathers (like I do )

    Personally I like what Korrode and others suggested. There should be some monsters above fluffy, desert chimeran and feros that are trainable. Maybe not stellar exp, but at least similar. I disagree that then people would PvE even more. If some people want to train, they will continue to train no matter what you do. If you even delete feros and DC, they will continue boxing fluffs. It is just that they like to compete for who has the highest a/d or smth. They will train on what suites them best, that's it. Even if there are no suitable monsters at all, they will try PvP or anything that gives a/d exp. What concerns PK, I will repeat what I've always said - people will not PK actively if it's so expensive and there is no gain. Sure, it is great fun and that fun draws people to PK nowadays (I've also lost rosto a few days ago, but had fun ), but it is fun at a great financial loss. Why should any individuals or guilds try controlling PK maps if there is no reason whatsoever? Hydrogenium and mercury in KF were steps in a positive direction I believe. However hydro can be mined on peace days or tried at no drop days, so if amount or lurking PKers increase, people can just wait. Mercury was kind of fun, but now it's so far from hazardous storage, so no gain in collecting again. Why not replace mercury with something more practical, like SRS (I don't want to hit potioners' business, just an example) maybe? Also, it could be possible to add higher level trainable monsters (that people are requesting) in PK. Or adding more schemes like hydro were passing PK is one of the required steps. In short, spoiling train for people with certain a/d and above won't increase PK activity. If it stays just a sink for equipment and rostogols (you can't get any drops from PK, just make others suffer), popularity will be limited, even if it's fun (and it is )

    Personally I don't mind the suggestion if those uber-rings are made by chance, like FE - EFE and are quite rare. Crafters would only benefit. To spice the things up, lets say these rings could have 5-10% chance that you end up in the middle of Hulda instead

The correct way of doing Desktop shortcuts I think is: 1. check if ~/.config/user-dirs.dirs exists and parse it if so (it is a freedesktop standard or smth, shouldn't be GNOME or English specific) 2. This file should contain line like XDG_DESKTOP_DIR="$HOME/Desktop" parse it, and use it 3. If the above fails, you can still try looking for ~/Desktop

    I believe it is switchable, I just don't remember which option also switches the rain as side effect, try poor man etc

    I was camping at hydro some time ago, when I was active player/PKer. I got a few players that were without rostos and stuff like CoL and more (especially RICH guild leader dropped really rich ), also got S2Es from others. But I think it was more of a short time luck and coincidence, afterwards I could camp for hours and get nothing. In addition, people started spreading rumours I'm camping Also, don't forget there are peace days, also no drop days - those don't help directly, but you can try many times All in all, I like the suggestion a lot! Maybe we should do days of hydro harvest, like extra special days. They could be announced or somehow predictable otherwise. And I don't think you should change Oblivion, it is fine as it is. Don't forget that harvesters can summon lots of small crap and just teleport over you when you fighting a few rats. In addition, harvesters can go invisible - it is very expensive to stay all they EL day true-sighted even for a team. Also, harvesters can hire PKers. Even if strong players are holding hydro, don't forget there is ranging now. Collect army of noobs with bows and take them out Also, you can hire summoners to summon dragons in Oblivion etc.

    Yeah, it is a bit depressing that the more you level, the lower exp you are able to make. This is not true with other skills, like if you level manufacture and your level increases, you fail less leather helms and thus get better xp Same for alch, harv, summoning and what not. However I agree with Entropy, that people train A/D like maniacs. But that shows people enjoy your game, so what's the problem MP: cap at 100? That's one week for you lol

  25. Guide - Guilds

    I can add one more specific category that I have some experience with - a country based guild. I have been a guildmaster of Lithuanian guild, LT, for a while. Unfortunately our guild is almost dead atm, with most pro members left or inactive (as me). In short, country based guilds are problematic to manage. First of all, most likely your guild will be an all-rounder one. However, to find something to do together, you will need to focus on some areas. Just being of the same country/same language will not make a cool guild automatically, unfortunately. Even some of your countrymen can be ugly persons Or some persons can be fine but cause conflicts when together, for instance. So, don't be afraid to boot some members if they are constantly causing problems or conflicts within a guild. This is even more problematic if there is a limited amount of players from your country/language, then you will be afraid to boot anyone... Also, maybe you don't need a country based guild - maybe just a language channel is enough even if you are in separate guilds. In conclusion, country based guild is a fun experience, but don't be surprised when they die as easily as other EL guilds.
